Marjorie Francis
The Flora
Marjorie, wife of Larry and co-owner of Indies Greens, brings beauty and mystique to the operation. Her passion for plants and attention to detail are the driving forces behind the garden, events, and vegetable production at Indies Greens.
A Telecommunications Engineer by trade, Marjorie provides both technical skills and floral beauty to Indies Greens, an intricate combination that shrouds the power of modern technology in the delicate allure of nature.
Growing up in a farming household, Marjorie developed a passion for plants while working in her Grandmother's garden. Her love for gardening only grew from there as she dedicated her free time to plants and gardening all the way through adulthood. Her 40+ years of gardening experience is a key factor to Indies Greens' farm operations as she oversees the production of all crops.
Marjorie's gardening prowess opened new doors when Indies Greens hosted its first garden-themed wedding in 2013. Over a decade later, Indies Greens is now renowned for hosting intimate events in its beautiful garden. As the lead event coordinator, Marjorie's keen attention to detail and flawless execution leaves guests falling in love with the venue, providing an atmosphere so captivating that visitors often forget that they're on a commercial farm.
Whether for food or for fun, Marjorie can master any plant under the sun, hence her title as the Flora of Indies Greens.
Larry Francis
The Fauna
Larry, husband of Marjorie and co-owner of Indies Greens, brings brain and brawn to the operation. His deep technical skills and love for animals run at the heart of the technological advancements and fish production at Indies Greens.
Having conceived the initial idea for Indies Greens, Larry aimed to take his vast technical experience as a Telecommunications Engineer and adapt them to the world of agriculture.
Larry developed a fascination for fish keeping during his early childhood. As a hobbyist, Larry spent his free time raising everything from common goldfish to exotic coral species. His 40+ years of experience with aquatic systems was used as the foundation that Indies Greens was built upon.
The wide-scale use of technology throughout Indies Greens can be attributed to Larry as he takes charge off all design, construction, and maintenance work on premises. He ensures that every system used by the operation provides the optimum living conditions for the inhabitants while best utilizing technology to automate maintenance processes, providing a modern, user-friendly experience for workers.
With the brain to dream it, the brawn to build it, and the heart to nurture it, Larry breathes life into the operation and all its creatures, hence his title as the Fauna of Indies Greens.
Jahnique & Jarred
New Shoots
Jahnique Francis
Jahnique, niece of Larry and Marjorie, stands at the front of the second generation of Indies Greens.
With a love for technology, Jahnique creates a powerful, technical duo with Larry to oversee the ongoing technological advancements of Indies Greens. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (I.T), Jahnique mainly focusing on office management and developing new technical systems for the company.
As a loving mother, Jahnique welcomed her son, Kairo, to the world, the first of the third generation of Indies Greens.
Jarred Francis
Jarred, son of Larry and Marjorie, looks to sheppard Indies Greens into a new generation.
The youngest of the bunch, Jarred has taken the responsibility of managing the operation and creating a new vision for Indies Greens moving forward. With a knack for finance and logistics, Jarred involves himself heavily in every aspect of the operation, constantly developing new paths for the future of the company.
Raised in the belly of the operation, Jarred developed a love for technology, plants and animals from his parents, a true product of Indies Greens.
Jahnique and Jarred represent the next generation, hence their title as the New Shoots of Indies Greens.
